I am knew to all this car modding stuff, but I just wanted to know how durable fiberglass is?? Lets say I make a Figerglass sub enclosure, will it explode, crack or fall apart over time?? I have done some searching adn seen that people recommend about 7-9 layers of fiberglass cloth; but again, my concern is in its durability, will it hold up with time?

 

A fiberglass sub box will hold up fine, Opi's been using his for years. Just needs to be layered properly to add strength.

 

7-9 layers of matt will bee some tough **** but will cost some money, it'll hold just as long as you do it right, my wing is only 2 layers of matt and 1 layer cloth, and its still holding on strong.
