A buddy of mine is thinking about selling his bike or trading it into the dealership. It is a yellow, 2004 TRIUMPH DAYTONA 600 w/ a Micron pipe and 9k miles. It is easy to configure a value for all the used jap bikes out there but what would you guys mark this as if he sold it privatly or traded it in. Thanks.

 

those things are only like $7K new, so go from there.....and 9K miles in less than a year is a bit much

actually when he bought it, it was 9k; even when he bought it he had to negotiate the price from around 10K.

 

~6k-7k...its still a 2004 and is a place where you can ride year round 9000 miles is easy. I put 7000 on this summer in WI where we only get 5-6 months to ride

 

it doesnt matter how much the person rides......think about it, at that rate he'd have 18K in 2 years....i wouldn't even consider a 2 year old bike with that much mileage

and the daytona MSRP is mid 8's so the dealer must've been trying to score some bread
