I have an 89 Crx Si. Im trying to figure out a bit of a problem. I just got a new radiator, and a Water Gasket for the Thermo. I also got a new timing belt in too. The damn thing sounds like a Putt Putt lawnmower from Kay B toystore back in the early 90's. I do have an exhaust leak, but i dont think that is the problem because it didnt sound like that before. It keeps putting along. Please Help..

who installed the timing belt? sounds like it's a tooth or two off...

 

My College installed it. It was only 7 bux for labor so I just had them put it in.

 

check the base timing.. sounds like its off a tooth.

 

Yeah I wouldn't really trust anybody working on my that's only charging 7 bux, I mean it's a savings in money but it could cost you in the long run.
