Need to fix radiator before i swap z6
My radiator fans dont work, all the clips and stuff are broken, so im gonna want to replace all of it... Whats the best choice for a d16z6 swap? Is a stock one fine?
A stock one should be fine. I'm running a stock one on my ~11:1 b18c1 swap and it keeps it cool all day long. There are some all-metal ones you can get for like $99 dollars and they're slightly bigger than stock. I'd invest in one of these.
You can get them from http://www.absoluteradiator.com I know Driven has one of these in his autox crx and I think he's pretty happy with it.
I just checked the site and its actually $122 for the all-metal one. It's twice as thick as the stock unit. They also have all-aluminum ones but those are more.
edit: you can hardwire your fans to come on when the ignition is on. I did this as a temporary fix because my fan switch was broken

i have a all metel two row radiator from koyo it was about 100 buck, its much better than the part plastic 1 row stock radiator, i live in texas, and my fans didn't(and still don't work) and my d16z6 never overheated
