Default Valve Springs

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the Honda valve springs on the B18a and B18b. My manual is for a 1990-1993 and my 1995 LS valve springs are below the service limits ... just wondering if the spring free length would be different on the 1994-2000 LS models.

Not sure about this.

But are you rebuilding the head?

Not really rebuilding per se... resurfacing the valve seats and grinding the existing valves, mild porting and all new seals and gaskets... Just replacing things that have exceeded the service limit and so far it appears like the valve springs need to go if the specs are the same as the 90-93 generation.

Well, the stock ls springs are pretty soft to begin with and prolly lost some tension over time so using them in a performance application with a higher rev limit and perhaps lighter parts is kinda risky.

We have nice single springs for the LS and are affordable. Just something for you to think about.
