How good are these intake manifold ?? Take a look...

I would like to fab one of these this winter for my car to replace my Y8 IM. I searched on the board but they are pretty rare... I didnt find one. It seems that they work great on JG's engine... but I want to know if someone here tryed one of those in their own car !! Especially on a SOHC if it is possible....
Also... how big I have to go with the plenum... I dont want to make it too small and not too big ?? Is there a post about this theory on the board ?
Maybe there is something better but it will cost me almost nothing to do so...
Thanks !

Yeah, you must be a young buck. JG Engine Dynamics used to be the ONLY import source for true horsepower gaining parts back in the early to mid 90s. They've made some great developments with this plenum, and is now the basis of construction for JG Edelbrock, and Rev-hard, as well as countless others. IF you can make it, great.. but you really won't save that much when Edelbrock (who has acquired JG Dynamics) makes them for a more reasonable price and is matched for your application.
This is the old school sheetmetal design before Edelbrock's mass production process.

Don't even waste your time with JG. He is a complete Crook. Should be in prison.
Use the Edelbrock.
Use the Edelbrock.

lol a young buck.... no its just that its a really easy model to copy... I really like to fab my own thing ! But I know that there is many cast manifold on the market like the Edelbrock who is good too...
What I mean is : does it worth the effort of building one of those JG who will give me good results or just buy one and do like most people do and I will have a betterresult that with my own **** loll ??
