I've got a potential buyer for my stock EF (si) seats in mint condition and want to upgrade while I'm at it... I found a pair of black del sol seats that are pimp - very racing like... And I also found a pair of Prelude seats in black leather - integrated headrest and very comfortable...

Which will bolt up and why? I'm sure I could fab something up for either but what are the pro's/ cons of these seats? Maybe the lude seats are heavier? Or del sol seats will bolt right up and are lighter?

Pro's and con's please guys.

 

both sets wont bolt up...i have the del slow seats and i really like them...thats my pick

 

89-91 Si seats are made by Recaro, correct? I actually think the 89-91 seats are some of the best Honda has ever put in their cars (in terms of support and looks) and I can't imagine anyone wanting to replace them IMO.

Mint 89-91 seats go for a good $$ since they are in demand. And I know the EG/DC2/DelSlo seats won't work. The 90-93 Integra seats will though. No idea about the prelude stuff.

 

del sol's will work if you change the rails!

 

i like the prelude SI's (92-96) big ace bolstors, my friend has some in his prelude and he wrecked it, so im gonna buy them from him... but the del sol's look so cool b/c they have the cool stripe down the middle....

both however will not bolt in...

Do you just bolt up the ef rails to the del sol seats? Do they bolt right up?

afaik: almost if not all honda seats are made by recaro. Cheaper than the srd/ sr3's though... But are the 88-91 si seats better than del sol seats or prelude seats in terms of support and light weight?

If the seats I have are already better than what's out there, then I won't sell them but otherwise it's an easy way to upgrade.....

And what about bolting them up? How easy/ hard is it to get lude or del sol seats into an EF?

 

i have del sol seats in my rex. i had to get some new rails made to fit my stock bracket. there is no way they ll line up right. i tried...it was a pain in the ***.......... you could do what i did and get some rails made or just weld them on your car.
