Default Help D16 build up

Well first off is it worth it. (not going to boost)

Looking to be able to beat stock maro's /run

I was thinking hone the block, drop in Eagle rods but what kind of pistons in ya'lls opions are the best. Then Skunk 2 stage 2 cam and valve train. With custom header to 2.5" exhuast.

Or is it realistic if possible to put b16 head on.

Car is going to street/strip but mostly street. Goin in 94 civic coupe.

Thanx

you mean cam

go like 12.5 comp cp pistons!!! youll have to retard the timing a bit to run pump but it will rip on 100 octane.

Thanx guys as far as gas here in TX its all about where you get it, but overall it's pretty good. I have access to 101 aviation fuel but its like $2.60 a gallon . I was hoping to be able to run 87 for daily driving then through in 101 for the strip. So my question is will the cp pistons mentioned run on 87 and/or 93 while still ripping on 101.
thanx

i would stay around 11:1 on 91. you can run 12.5:1 on 93 but you have to tune it pretty good. if you plan to run 12.5:1 i would suggest a mix of 93/101 for you since it seems like you are kinda new to high compression hondas. seriously though if you want to be able to drive it everywhere at anytime in texas heat i would probably stay under 11:1. that way you can run it on 91 octane and not back timing off. for the extra hassle and pain in the *** of running say 12.5:1 in your situation it really isnt going to yeild much gain for you because i dont get the feeling you will invest extensively in headwork and an handmade header. my advice would just be kinda mild with the compression, run a cam of your choice, beat the hell out of it and enjoy every minute of it

if you listen to this guy, I have some p29s for sale. Overbore too

I'd rebuild it the engine with a cam of your choice, maybe bisi header, AEM CAI, a new final drive, and then lighten your civic.
