Yes, it can be done, 94/95 rear airdam on 96/97 rear bumper
I know someone has recently asked this question, so here are a few pics (yes they are dark, I'm not the greatest with a camera) 96 sedan with 95 airdam, it does have to be custom mounted but it fits flush. I recently backed into a light pole so I had to have my bumper replaced and I thought this would be a great time to add this little OEM mod. I am posting these pics not as an apperance post but to let those who are weary about this idea know that it can be done very easily (even if you don't take it to a bodyshop) so please don't tell me that this thread should be moved

Sorry the pics don't do justice. I will try to take better ones this weekend. It is a 96 OEM bumper with the 3 piece OEM 94/95 rear airdam painted to match
