In a completely stock a6/y8 (block/head) engine what rpm is it safe to take it up to? It seems to me the block would be the limiting factor, but by how much? I think the a6 is supposed to cut out at 7100 vs 7800 on the y8 (correct me if I have my numbers wrong.) Oh mini me experts please bestow your knowledge on me.

 

What ECU you rollin? P28?

 

I now a guy who chips pm6s to activate vtec and use the p28 fuel maps, so I'm going that way. Basically a p28 except obd0.

If someone had dyno numbers for a mini me like this and could tell me at what RPM the set up stops making power that would be great. On the other hand if someone can tell me how high I can rev the engine without blowing it up that would be good to

is his s/n customfabrik8? hes chipping my pm6 for vtec but i didnt know if he would put in the p28 fuel maps
