Powdercoat obsessed !!
Taking the high road here .... not getting too serious with the mods due to $$$... so looks and coolness factor is the least expensive approach at the moment, which brings me to my question....
Is there anything in the Integra engine compartment that I don't want to powdercoat?
For instance, would it be okay to powdercoat the intake manafold? I read somewhere that powdercoating or was it polishing affects heat transfer... I wouldn't want to cause a heat retention problem by powdercoating an engine component (external component of course!).
Thanks,
Mike

I would think that powerdercoating would help the component retain heat kinda like heat wrap would an exhaust...
You should probably try a hondata intake manifold gasket. Something to insulate the heads heat from anything that should be cool like intake manifolds..

OMG T3H RICE IS TAKING OVER!
seriously though....powdercoating can get very expensive....but you can also do it very cheaply... i found a guy that will do any color for 150 bux a batch...no matter how large or small the batch (as long as it fit in the oven, and you could park a bus in his oven) ...you could powdercoat a penny and it would still cost 150 dollars... take everything you want coated off the car, prep it and then send it off, it should be cheaper that way... FYI you can't powdercoat anything thats not metal... 400 degrees+ is what they bake it at so it will melt most anything else
oh and 150 dollars is a good start on making horsepower...so save your money and buy performance parts... GOOD ONES
