Humm... I can hear it now... you get what you pay for....

Honda charges a discounted price of $240 or so for a complete engine gasket kit... Do you guys recommend any other route?

Doing a complete rip-down and rebuild of a 1991 B18a LS ... adding a few newer parts along the way... basically a fun project for me and my 15 yr old son.

Do a Google search on OEM acura gaskets, look for Stone or Ishino, they are made by the same company that makes OEM Honda gaskets....The price should run around $100 for the head and even less for the bottom end.......

 

Damn I paid an arm and a leg for mine from inline-four. Good service though.

 

Water tube o-rings, water pump gasket, vtec solenoid gasket, and oil breather gasket are gaskets i had to buy separately from the stone kit.

the parts listed above cost me about 25 bucks from the acura dealer aside from the full upper and lower gasket kits i got from stone
