Trying to identify the year of my engine so I can find if the tranny I just bought was swappable.

Here are the numbers I snagged, motor is a Sohc Zc non vtec

Tranny code L3 1386243

Just some codes I grabbed off of my engine are

-PM3 - 3
5733267

Is there any more to tell from? I just grabbed what I could see quickly with the flashlight?

If that doesnt tell you anything LMK where I grab it from

year of the engine doesnt matter. what year was the old tranny? originaly in the car? what year is the new tranny? only 88 is not compatible with 89-91 clutch. buy the same year clutch that the tranny is.

 

dont forget to use the same year flywheel

 

if you look between the 2nd and 3rd cylinder exhaust ports, there should be a number. that number is the year your engine is. if i'm wrong someone please correct

Yep. Look above the header. It's labeled 8/8, 8/9, 9/0 or similar.
