Default ::OT:: eibach suspension help/advice

ive read the basic guide, and came down to kyb agx's with either sportline/prokit...

my question is im on 215/45/17's with oem lips, which would give me a good stance and good everyday driveability? do some of you guys have a pic of your 5th gens with the 2 pref. spings im looking to buy? and what are youropinions on each spring?

sorry for the OT thanks.

Well, it seems as though those two springs are pretty similar will the only real difference being that the sportlines sit lower than the pro-kits. I thought the sportlines wer linear and pro-kits were progressive but someone said they contacted Eibach and found out both springs are progressive. I had pro-kits on my 95 EX and loved them. Mild drop and nice ride, roads suck here. But if you like the lower look, then go with the sportlines. I've never been in a car with sportlines so I can't say anything good or bad about them. But I can say I liked the pro-kits.

unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the car before it was totalled. But from this ugly picture you can see the gap. I want to say it was like a 2 finger gap.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

i have agx's w/ sportlines on 15's with factory EX lips/skirts.....your biggest issue )(if any), is going over speed bumps, which you just want to take slow and at a slight angle....my car is daily driven, and ive been nothing but happy

You will be just fine with sportlines and AGX's.

thanks for the quick replies and info...

well most definate now im planning on the h&r sport or eibach sportslines, since ive read they both are pretty similar drop,,, so whatever i find first on ebay i guess for the price

and fw190, thats the drop on sportsline? i was picturing your car on 17's would it be hiked up too much? looks good on the 15's though.

did you guys get any camber issues? is a camber kit even required for the sportsline?

Since the sportlines drop lower than the pro-kits I would say probably. With my set-up (Tokico blues, EIbach Pro-Kit, no camber correction) I just rotated and balanced the tires everyother oil change. That kept tire wear pretty even. I don't know about the sportlines for sure though.

Also, my car had about -1* camber when I had an alignment done.

i dont have a 5th gen but i do have a 6th gen with sportlines on them and i have to say it closes up gaps pretty well, rides smooth (stock shocks), and handles great

i'm rolling on 215/45/17's as well...my setup is kyb's with neuspeed sports, and honestly it's the nicest drop i've come across...the front is droppe probably about 2.2 inches and the rear maybe 1.5...the front definitely sits lower, but the car is at a much nicer stance at this ride height, and handling is pretty nice with this setup as well...i'll try and find some pics if i can...
