I had a plugged cat and it sounded good. Then the bottom fell out. So i put in a test pipe it sounds like ***.

If i got a new cat but a 1/4" bigger would it sound like before, or louder since my old one was clogged before. Should i put in a resinator too?

or just get a resonator!! my 2.5" exhaust pretty quiet and sounds very nice.
