Hey honda-techers....
I need to know if the 88 CRX DX dash will fit into the 89 Civic LX 4dr?
Please let me know if you guys have any idea of this dash swap. I need to know asap.
The dash in the LX right now is a bit torn up. I just happened to have a CRX DX dash laying around, so thought maybe I can just swap them if possible.

I have actually done it with an 89 CRX Si Cluster, and put it into my 88 Std Hatchback. Works like a charm, but I don't know about the 4dr. I know there is a slight fraction of an inch difference between the dash width of a 4dr and CRX, but I think it might work. If all else fails and nobody else replies, just give it a try. You can't break anything unless you start cutting stuff up.

 

Yeah I was thinking about just jumping into it and try it...but it's getting colt up here and don't want to start anything at the moment unless I'm pretty sure.

well, if it's any consolation, I know where you can get a cheap dash for an 89 CRX... my local junkyard has one that's pretty clean, they guy quoted me $30 for it, but I don't think you would want to come to Vegas just for a dash...
