Default radiator hose

I'm new here. not really because I have been looking on this site for about a year but I couldn't find how to replace a radiator hose.
I got a 95 accord lx sedan.

I am going to replace the radiator hose this weekend. Do I need to drain the radiator at all?
Need all the help I can get.
Thanks.

top or bottom hose? you should probably drain it anyways if you are replacing the hose. i wouldnt cause im lazy, but most would. theres a drain plub at the bottom near the drivers side. just run that, empty it out, and then undo the clamps. pull hose off, and put new one of.

Or you can use this as a good excuse to change your antifreeze completely...

when i had to change out the radiator in wifey's 95 accord lx, i most definitely flush & refilled the system w/ new antifreeze/distilled water...

don't forget to loosen the air bleed bolt (12-13mm?) near the t-stat housing, fill up the system until air is purged out, tighten bolt. (that bolt: follow the lower hose to the back, near the firewall & i had to use an offset boxend wrench to get to it)

or refill & just let the engine idle w/ heater on full blast & w/ the cap off & add coolant/water mix as necessary (until the fans turn on @ least 2x)

PS: i also upgraded from those weird hose clamps to worm-style clamps (tighten down w/ a screwdriver or a 10mm socket driver)
