Default Tire/Rim Questions

I have a 5gen dropped about 2 inches in front and back and am looking to get some 17" rims. I was wondering if 215/40/17 with a 42 offset would give me trouble? What offset/tire would be optimal for this set up? Any input is appreciated.

It shouldn't give you any problems, if any, I'm sure it's very minimal.

I've had 215/40/18 on my prelude, dropped about 2 inches (1 finger gap all around) on tein SS.

The only problem I had was top inner wheel well rub while hitting bumps/pot holes on the highway.
