i bought a 93 integra gs three days ago and just yesterday i was driving to my friends house four miles into it i noticed that it was over heating bad...when i bought it it did over heat a little but put fluid in it and was ok...so i got to my friends house and it took like three hours to fully cool down, filled radiator with water and drove home...the first mile or two thick *** white smoke came out, i mean bad. behind me looked like the worst fog to drive in. i knew it had to be my head gasket cause of the smell of radiator fluid and the whole drive home it was past the the H on the temp gauge the drive home was about ten miles or so and was wondering if there could be head damage as well...i had huge loss in power and the idle was hella messed up...it would rev high to 2400 rpm then down to 400 rpm...also checked radiator fluid and looked rusty. plez help

 

It kind of sounds like you have a blown gasket. Here are a few tips: Take a really close look at the coolent... that rust color could be oil mixing with the coolent. Second: check the oil and see if it looks like whats in the radiator. Third: pull out the spark plugs and see what they look like. If they look damaged(burnt or covered with oil/coolent) chances are its the headgasket. Also, it was a really bad idea to drive it in that condition. You probably made a bad situation even worse by driving that far with the temp reading past the H. The head could be warped, damaged bearings on the bottom end of the block...you name it. Only thing you can really do is pull off the head and take a look. Good luck and pm me if you need anymore help...

thanks alot for tha info...alot of stuff is wrong wit tha car interior wise when i bought it, allignment, stuff like that, but now its motor **** which is what i was afraid of...can expect that for a $600.00 car not bad for tha price. if anything ill rip it apart and if any damage ill salvage tha rest and put my other b18a but dont really feel like doin that. also what do i look for if tha head is warped? i checked tha spark plugs and they were burnt to ****...oil was low so im sure that i might be leakin in places it shouldnt be in...i just dont want to have to buy new parts and have tha same **** happen again if ya know what i mean
