I was wondering i saw pictures of someone doing a short shifter install, and i was wondering is it neccessary to pull the cat and pull the whole thing out and under the car or can you install the adapter from pulling the console.??I had a 98 eclipse that i just pulled the console and installed the adapter with shifter?? Thanks alot guys

 

You didn't mention what car you have but for if you're referring to a 94-97 Accord or 92-96 Prelude (which I have knowledge of) you don't need to do anything under the car. You can install a short shifter adapter or a true short shifter (like 4bidden) by removing the console inside the car.

 

yea sorry i was not specific on he car but yes it is a 94 accord EX,it is an oto Racing short shifter, i figured it would be that way to install it, thanks for the help . .

 

you just remove the center console, the accord uses cables like the prelude does
