EK TypeR Boot in CRX Console
I'm doing a CRX dashboard swap in my 88 Hatch STD and the center console I got didn't have a shift boot in it for some reason. So I'm in the market for a shift boot.
I was going to just go to the dealer and get a stock one for $35-$40, I think, it came out to but I stumbled across PasswordJDM's EK TypeR Shift Boot for only, like, $27. Has anyone gotten one of these for their CRX?
I already have the Black/Red Stripe 91 Si seats in there so I thought it would be a little nicer than the stock black boot. Now my questions are:
01 - Does this boot screw into the CRX console (same mounting probably not)?
02 - If not, easy modification?
03 - Is it even the same size as the hole?
I know it's a little silly but it's a lot better than a "bag with a shoelace" style aftermarket ones... and for about the same price as stock it's a little nicer IMO.
Thanks for any help!

like wat el vap said the boot is big... you got to trim it down to a reasonable size.. then you got to make new mount tears on it.. and then it should fit w/out any prob....
btw i got EK SI boot on mine... still need to trim it more but got no prob w/ it yet cuz i still havent got a short shifter...HTH

I put the type r shift boot on my crx w/o cutting it. I just placed it on my stock mounting bracket and it fit fine. Doesn't look wierd and it reaches high enough to keep my shifter covered up to my shift ****. Just telling what I did.
