Maybe someone can help me out. I have been told that the JDM ITR 4.785 final drive will work in the cable trannys for the same reason that the LSDs will work. http://b16a.honda-perf.org/extras.html says no but other have said yes. anyone know?

I know there are 2 diff part# for the ATS one for b16 and b18, so the 4.78 won't work in a b16 tranny casing ect...i think there is a diff in size of the bearing on the counter shaft. hope this helps

 

i asked the same ? before. a honda final drive will not fit. cusco makes a final drive kit that is made for cable trannies. and any lsd(quaiffe, kaaz, cusco) will work as well.

 

I have heard this. thanks for the input anyway Someone in the ITR posts has stated that it will work I have IM him but have not heard a reply. Also then why is it possible to substitute y21 gears in the y1 trannys or gsr gears. I have heard of all this being done. Can anyone say yes for sure.
