How do i discontect this, where would the cable be to disconect it?

Stereo just got lifted so i want to beable to keep my trunk locked, without someone being able to hit that switch by my foot and open the trunk,

 

open your trunk.

theres a steel cable that connects to your trunk latch, just disconnect it.

 

you should be able to take the plastic cover off that wraps around that lever and then you should be able to see the cable. you will just need to remove the cable from the lever. you can also do this on the other end of the cable which would be located in your trunk lid.

don't you have the key lock?? where you can turn your key and lock the trunk switch, so it wont open the trunk?

 

ya but for some reason the key dont work, so i figure that just disconecting it is easier and safer, from theives that is

But it's in the trunk, if i want to disconect it what do i do?

Just pull the cable off? cut it?,

Little nervous with the car, it was my first time being robbed, and i want it to be the last

 

hey i got a 94 del sol.. that doesn't have trunk release ..
my question is. that is there a such thing called a "trunk release kit"
because its a hassel getting out and popping the trunk every time..

you should be able to loosen a screw and slip the cable off, be careful, cause its very easy to make it so the latch wont close...I know from experience.

 

yes and no, I'm not too sure but

1. go to an alarm place and see if you can get the remote trunk popper, tahts your best bet.

2. get your own thread.

 

can i just cut it?, i guess that's a final decision?
dont wanna *** up the latch

 

you can cut it, but if you ever want it back, your gonna have to buy a new one from honda, and put it in, or have it put in.
