Default B18A and a B16 Transmission

Just curious,

We are in the middle of my friend's CRX build with a B18A motor. . we are looking for a tranny and found a B16 Civic tranny. I know honda parts bolt up a lot of times. But I just want to make sure because I am not a huge Honda person. Just tryin to help this guy out because he isnt much of a motor person. . .heh ..

Anyone know?

it will bolt up, and the gearing is a lot closer than the b18a tranny too. it's great for acceleration too. only issue you'll have is high rpm on the highway. your best bet is to get the fifth gear out of a b18a/b18b tranny and have it put in the b16 tranny. this will solve your high rpm freeway gas guzzling...haha.

Yes it'll bolt up no problem!

Great geared tranny, it'll be a great improvement over the LS tranny!
