I did a search and all I found is one post saying it is a V6 error code....I have a 4 not a 6....I checked the code three times just to make sure I'm not crazy.....anyway, here is the symptom.....the car accelerates fine, no misfires, the problem happens AFTER I go through the gears and take it out of gear.....the idle drops way too low. after anywhere between 5 seconds and say 30 seconds the idle goes back to normal. If I reset the ECU the problem goes away....for a while. It doesn't seem to be affected if the car is hot or cold, it still throws the code. Any ideas?


just found a code list that had "....or random misfire" by code 76....ah here we go
