thick diam ? or thick wall ?

I see no reason , other than overkill , that those wouldnt work fine for this application.

as long as your charge pipes are less than 2"

why not just buy pre-mandrel bent pipes?

i think all those are pressure bent as in the diameter of the piping gets smaler where the bend is with those. I'd like to try to find a manual mandrel bender but no luck so far

The only way to get true mandrel bends is with a mandrel bender. You have to have a mandrel that goes inside the pipe to keep it from getting crushed when bending. It's pretty much bent from the inside.

oh, and they're not cheap

my pops said back in the day he would have asimilar tool to the JD squared bender but would pack the tubing full of sand and cap it off with some tapered woulden plugs, heat it with an oxy torch and then bend it, the sand would not allow for the tubing to get smaller achieveing mandrel bends

i have that orange bender, and i have the other HF pipe bender.

the orange one crushes pipes bad. i tried 2.5" pipe and it just crushes it.

i have the other pipe bender (2.5" doesnt fit in it) but i havent tried bending anything with it yet
