2003 dodge hemi
What kind of power do you think it would take to out run one of these trucks. I have the F22b2 in a 94 accord. I have started the taskof making it a 5-speed. I talked to a shop and the turbo kit will cost me about 4200 for a custom set-up with Hondata. My brother-in-Law works for a wharehouse that can get me pistons and rods. The Ram is said to have around 360 HP.
i dont know what to say... it "may" be possable..since you would weight like 1 million times lighter, but trucks are a whole different ball game my friend.
I live in houston and truck drivers always try to run off imports trying to race them..lol
you wont know if you dont try....if i was go for it =D

new hemi's arent even true hemi's
im prettys sure you dont need to get massive amounts of hp and tq to beat that truck, most cams in trucks have really low and narrow powerbands... that combined with gearing should help you out quite a bit. you might be able to squeek by one with a 75 shot.

if you turbo your current setup, you should be able to "hang" with a hemi powered truck...the power/weight in those things isn't that great...also, the newer hemi trucks are made for hauling efficiently, not necessarily speed...
Alot of the new Hemi's are made also for economy...hence why Dodge has brought back the D.O.D. (Displacement on Demand) with at least the new Durangos and Magnums...I am not sure if they were on the Rams, but I agree, they're not anywhere near as good as the old Hemi's...plus they are putting Hemi's in everything...which is cool to see but now its not as special when someone says "I have a Hemi." well so does the other 15 billion people who own Rams, Durangos, Magnums, and Cherokees (and Chargers when they're released)
