when my car is off and on . but not moving . when i turn the wheel to the left or right i can hear a clunking noise like somthingse loose . and also a creeking noise like one of my poly mounts is dry or somthing . my question is , where to start looking? what could be the causes of his . setup is tein flex's and skunk2 camber kit . let me know where to start looking. thanks!

 

Im guessing its the axle. Same thing happned to me when i had my d series, but when i swapped in my b series, the noise was gone

 

so your thinkin the axle....i need to replace them anyway ill try that.

 

did it always make these noises or just recently? did you mess with the suspension or with the car lately?

ya the clicking noise is a broken, axle, but ur car is slow, i don't know how u broke it. hahaha jk

i havent messed with the suspension reciently at all...and its not clicking . and it doesnt do it around turns.

 

any other possibilities?

it sounds like the left front creeks when i hit bumps too.

 

could be somthing in your steering rack

 

what in my steering rack would do that?

 

errr i dunno but for it to do it when your stoped id think its somthing in there.

 

Have you tried jacking the front end up off the ground and then turning the wheel?

 

no i havent , what should i look for when i do it?

 

Just thinkin you might be able to get under there, have someone else turn the wheel, and you can maybe see where the clunking is coming from.

I'd check out your upper and lower ball joints, outer tie rod end, and while the car is jacked up, see if there is any play in your wheel bearing.

 

how to i check for play in the wheel bearings? i know to check for the ball joints.....

 

grab the wheel, on oppisite side then push forward and back to see if it moved at all

 

push it foreward twards the front bumper or pull it twards me?

 

i would say check the cv joint, or the lower control arms. my control arm bushings are bad and mine makes a ratteling noise when i go over bumps.
