okay guys i really need some help
I have a 90 civic STD
JDM B16A
ITR cams
SRI
X-tune 4-1 header
PW0 ecu
2.25 inch exhaust
OBX-R FPR
well i just installed a APEXi VAFC...found out that with my 5 swaps..I somehow installed my TPS wrong during a MPFI swap.. fixed
now i have a theory
that header has the O2 sensor by the cat....now i am running a unheated sensor in a unheated place....my car runs rich...it fouls out if i run it for a long time and hit vtec a lot.....actuallly when i hit 70-80 in vtec it pops and a CEL for comes on...would it be because the sensor is not getting a good reading? i am thinking installing a heated O2 sensor...but i am not so sure that would be the issue yet.

running an unheated sensor down by the cat is a good way to ruin it. convert to obd-1 and use a heated 4 wire or locate your single wire in the right spot. it will never read the correct voltage as is.
I have the same deal going, I have a PR3 and a single 4 wire, used as a one wire, down by the cat. The PR3 and PW0 are picky about O2 sensors anyway, and mine will stumble and bog and all kinds of wierd **** if I beat on it for a bit. I don't really care because I'm getting a wide band, but the moral of the story is that O2 sensor placement is important.

I'm running a heated 4-wire from a 93 bronco back by the cat and I have no stumble at all. Runs alittle rich but passed emissions easily so it can't be too rich. Checked the plugs after 6 months and had very little soot.

2. she watches me work, and gets ummm excited
3. loves to hear me talk techno babble
4. so i get to have fun and get fucked for it
and i knew about the entire 02 sensor thing, and i know how to get a heated 4-wire to work with obd0 also...when i finish it this weekend i will do a write up...just wantedt to show you something
no sensor

LOL...what are you HAH?! and why is she frowning?
welll i got it all worked out
I pulled the 4-wire from my 92 parts car
green and black = ground, white = ecu, other black = 12V, runs sooo much ******* better!

If you can take some pictures of how you did the O2 sensor wiring that would be greatly appreciated, as my header was designed for a Y8 so the sensor is in no mans land.

ummm man..if you do some research you will find that there are 324987249853 ways you can wire it, i just soldered the green and black together the put one long thick wire on it, and screwed it into a body ground. the white wire i just added my OBD-0 o2 sensor plug to it, and plugged it in, and the hot 12V wire. you can plug it into the switched side of the fuse box

Done my research, it's just that I don't do anything wiring without definite answers. So anyways, did you use shielded wire on the signal white wire? And did you extend the white wire or the harness wire?
