just another video of club racing and some scenes from Japan #2 video link and 2 big pics inside
It has been some time since I have posted here. I have been lurking, and reading what has been going on back home and reading up on the WCHC, and IT issues. I have been busy trying (or not trying) to be a gaijin in the modern samurai world of business. Life in Japan is not all work. I have been fortunate enough to have found a club that hosts HPDE, time trial, w2w type events. Tec Arts is an auto shop, tuner and restoration family owned business. They are a great bunch of people. This past weekend my friend and I dual entered his Toyota 4AG Trueno/Levin into the time trial group as a 1 car 2 driver team. We split the fees and four the sessions between us. That gave me 1 session to learn the car and 1 session to turn a good session. Nikko circuit is only 1.1km long and lap time vary from 40-50 secs. It is quite twisty in some places and at times I felt like I was lost in a door to door autocross. There is satisfaction and pleasure in the fact that you can get out of 2nd and 3rd gear.
That is all for now. Time for me to get back to saying yes when I mean no.
here is the car I was honoured to share

This is one of the Tec Arts team cars.

Its a Cappucino. (I think) it is a K-Car or light weight car. Primarily used for city driving. K-Car engines are spec'd to be under 600cc, and turbos are often used. Yellow number plates are for K-cars.
