Auto tranny--what would you do?
Tranny shifts are a bit off when the car is cold, especially on 1 and 2. Downshifts around the corner are also off. Once it's warmed up, the car shifts more or less normally.
Took it in to the dealer. They checked it out and said everything was fine. They drained and refilled it three times.
Problem is no better--perhaps even a little worse.
I don't know much about Honda trannies soI'm not sure where to go from here.
Options:
1. Take it back to the dealer again and complain about paying for them to do nothing. I've never found that this gets very far. They're the only Honda dealer around so they know I'll have to come back sooner or later.
2. The dealer doesn't seem to know what's going on. The problem is not that bad--just keep driving til it blows up.
3. Write Honda and demand a new tranny. I may do this anyway. Anyone want to join the list?
4. Get a Level 10 or similar valve body. Install it. Of course, if there's a problem with the internals, the new vb may just make matters worse.
Any other ideas?

Option 5: Start saving pennies for a new or remanufactured transmission.
When these transmissions start to act up, nothing short of replacing them will help.

My tranny was accually slipping a lot on my old 94 Accord .. its normal for Hondas .. If you learn to control it, it wont be that bad. One best things to prevent this, is to get off the gas riiiiight before it shifts.

yeah. it sounds like it might need new clutches. my 98 auto did the same thing and eventually went out all the way. it ended up being the clutches. best thing to do is have it overhauled, the'll completley rebuild it and put all new parts in it. but learn dont ragg it out afterwards. i took them up on that warranty three times. now its never gonna be the same

i was doing that for months until it finally took a ****. i guess i speeded up the process of the tranny dying by spraying 75 shots on it for 2 yr.
once the auto tranny died i said screw it, dont want to buy another auto tranny and have it die in a couple yrs and did the tranny conversion. took me a few days to do it but it was worth it.
