question, Doing b18b1 swap... Some parts dont seem right? Need Help!
Ok i am swapping a 95 b18b1 with a gsr tranny. First question is, the rear mount bracket doesnt line up. Is it because of the tranny, or is the rear mount different than a mount from a automatic b18 different? Next, being that i went with a gsr tranny, do i need to get the gsr axles, Oreilys doesnt carry them and would have to ship, id have to pay freight, and it be a hassle! If anyone that has done this swap, would like to give me there .02 that be cool to. anything you might have done, that amde things go easier. by the way its going into a 92 civic
i dont know about the mounts, cause i got lazy and just ordered a hasport kit. you can use ls/gsr/b16si blabla axles, just not the d series axles. let us know how it drives when u are done, cause im doing a b18b/gsr tranny also and im gettin curious
edit: for linkage u need 99-00 si. ive heard that any 94+ teg linkage will work too.

so far this swap has been really easy. Just make sure you replace things. My list is huge right now. I bought the motor and trans for 1000. stage 2 clutch light flywheel 495. axles 130. starter 100. ecu 70. replaced slave cylinder, timing belt, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, head gasket, valve cover gasket, exhaust gasket, intake gasket, new cap and rotor, wires, and plugs. alternator. i think there is more but not sure. I cleaned the motor really good. ill take some pics. wiring the motor was really easy to. i used the dx wiring harness. only had to extend a few wires. if you have any question i might be able to help.
