i was only there a few hours on saturday... ex-nonnamakers were battling for 1-2 in the h2+ race by th time i had to leave, and i think burner took it in h1.
i could be wrong about burner though, i was busy taking pics and don't recall if he came around the final few laps or not.

Pretty sure Carpenter rolled in T10 during qualifying on Sunday so there wasn't really qualifying. He looked uninjured when he walked by me and his car didn't look that bad on the back of the flatbed. I didn't stay for the race.

HOLY ****! Ian rolled! Glad to hear you saw him walking!
He and Kofod had a hell of a battle for the first 2/3 of Saturdays' race.... once Kofod got passed him he opened up a nice lead.
Saturday - H1 - #30 S2000 won.
Sunday - H1 - no idea.... my car was making a loud ticking sound so I went home. It was most likely Kurpier or Evans.... my $ would be on P. Kurpier.

...and you'd have lost your money today
Nice win on Saturday, and congrats to Evans on an awesome drive today. He was really moving. Pete drove a great race as well. He passed 12 cars in one lap!
Great stuff, guys. This was the third straight weekend that I was without #32. I pray it's the last.
Congrats to all the HC drivers for putting on such a fantastic show for everyone, and for being the people that they are.

who is proud to be in such a fine group.

"I had to leave because we ran out of gas for the 4-wheeler and couldn't get anywhere so I just hobbled to my car and took off"
P.S. Ian was fine. It was a pretty gentle roll. He went up the embankment just past T10 at an angle which sort of put the car on its side. As it slowed down it rolled onto its roof. Ian was crawling out of the car as I got up to the area where he was. EV arrived a few seconds later.

I don't know who won in Big Bore for Sunday but HC/944 race Phil Phillips won overall, I came in second, and either Zimmermann or Springer came in third.
Ian Carpenter spun in T10 and flipped his car on the embankment on the first lap of qualifying. Ian is prefectly fine, but the qualifying session was cancelled and qualifying from Saturday was used. For a variety of reasons Ian decided not to race on Sunday and we were both crowned Honda East Coast H4 Co-Champions.
It's a long story with a positive ending but it's 1:30 am so there will be a write up sometime tomorrow with details.

Jon P. Kofod (whose totally burnout at this stage of the season, but had one hell of a time)

Not race related, but...

That guy has a very hot girlfriend, if I'm remembering the correct Subie guy.
Sorry, it's 7:21 am, and I have two exams in the next 4 hours.

I watched that Roll from the tower... I was in shock cause it happened in such slow motion.
I'm glad he walked away from that
As for anything being done different... Anything would have made a completely worse mess.

S. Burner is setting records again with a 1:23.8XX on Saturday
It was good to see Mr. Kent out there on Saturday, but I think he broke during the start of the race and pulled in at Pit Out and didn't return on Sunday.
As usual John K and Ian C were duking it out making for some GREAT racing action. The incident at T10 wasn't as bad as it sounds. He scrubbed off most of his speed through the gravel trap and just kinda went up the hill at an angle and it flipped it back. He got out right away and waved and ran up the hill as fast as possible. His car looked a lot better then one would think. I'm just glad that he was ok and think it's great they split the championship.
On Sunday's big bore Pete C. got an AWESOME start and a great first lap closing a HUGE gap on James E. Both of them were driving very consistent the rest of the race as the gap stayed about the same for the remainder with Pete C. about 3-5 seconds behind.
to Helms on Sunday for starting 2nd to last in the Big Bore race Sunday (behind the Viper Comp Coupe of course) and taking 3rd place in H1. Awesome driving on a not-exactly-all-there engine.
It was cool to see the Viper Comp coupe out there. It's a pretty interesting story behind those cars. Apparently you have to have owned and raced vipers for at least 2-3 years, and then the application process to get one takes a year and then they fly you out to the Roush facility to tour it and see your car etc... He spent Saturday and most of Sunday breaking the engine and car in and ran in the Big Bore race Sunday and came from last to 3rd overall running pretty conservative letting the race between B. Dobyns and the other FF car battle it out. There was a great race to be had there with a lead change between those two about every lap until B. Dobyns finally opened up a few car length lead and held on for the win.
Was a great weekend, beautiful racing weather and not to much drama at all. Great weekend to end a season on.

what was dan elam doing out in the HC/944 cup race on saturday?
I was watching from the T6 bleachers and all 3 of the nonnamaker cars were spewing gas the whole way thru T6. I'm surprised you guys had enough left to finish the race

It was Bobbi, his wife. She ran with the Cup in a few events this year and wanted to participate despite the blown engine in her 944. I suppose she get's an A for effort?

From what I heard at the track, Dan had hopped in the car and ran in the small bore race after Bobbie reported getting little respect form the other racers in the run group, and Dan found this to be true. Bobbie then decided to go out in the HC/944 cup race. Again, this is just what I heard at the track.

Dan and Bobbi had dinner with us at our awards ceremony that night. If I remember what Dan said correctly, he went out in the Small Bore qualifying because Bobbi reported what you mentioned in practice. Dan said that it was "a real eye-opener" to see the stuff drivers did to him presumably because he was a woman driving a pink RX7.

Thanks for the clarification, I knew it involved Dan getting in the car at some point in the day and seeing how Bobbi was really being treated on the track. I was very disappointed to hear how true it was.

It wasn't because she was a woman driving a pink rx-7, it was because some people feel she shouldn't be on track.

I think that was sort of implied but yeah, I'm sure that's the reason. Regardless, if folks have a problem with a specific driver's qualifications they should address that with an official, not ***** them on the track.
