okay . .so as many of you have commented on my photo shoots "clearn you rims" well i have but thats not the issue there is some sort of oxidation . . as seen in these 2 pics
and a close up
so i set out and bought some tools to polish them, picked these up
a dremel
with a polishing compound kit
and what i've done was sanded them down with 100 grit paper.. then WET 600 grit sand paper. . washed it off then started to poish unfortunately this is the biggest bit they make for a dremel that is used in polishing
so i had to make due
and the result... they look all fucked up . . and it's cuz the lil polisher is so small that .. well iono i need sum'n bigger
definately shiner than before, but not what i'm lookin for. . dont want those swirl marks there
anyone have any suggestions on what I should do, what else do i need or whatever??

Spray the wheels down with Aircraft remover and let them sit for like 20-25 minutes. Spray them down with a hose to get all the stripper off and then polish the **** out of em with Mother's polish.

the rims use to be gunmetal, so i used aircraft remover back in the day (here is a link to a thread when i did that https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=900106)
then few weeks later, i took it to the car wash, had it all washed up and shined up.. then i go back to schoool. where i parked (this is like 1hr after having hte car washed) the sewer backed up (at this point my car was stock ride height thank God) and i had to drive thru that ****, and after that they just came out shitty from there on out i couldnt wash it off
i guess go back to that huh?
what do you guys use when usin mother's polish?

you need some polishing stones. when I worked at a mold shop that's what the polish department used to polish aluminum. they are about 5" long and 1" wide you just hold them at an angle to the surface and push them... use wd40 to lubricate it.

I thought those wheels used to be dark gold/bronze? That looks like why their messed up. Either way you can keep polishing until it looks right or paint them again

looks like your wheel got owned by the brake dust.... this is why you need to clean them every once in a while.... GL on gettin em fixed

100 grit is too coarse. You can't just jump from 100 to 600 grit. You need to go to 200, 400, 600, etc. then do a wetsand.
Get a polishing wheel that attaches to a drill. That dremel bit isn't going to work well.

well, here is my opinion on this. I don't think that there is anything wrong with your dremel idea, HOWEVER I would not use the tip of that polishing wheel, I would be using the side of it.
