Default changing wheel studs on a type r ???

it seems that the type r knuckle are a little bigger
and that the only way to change the studs is to press out the hub with the bearing to get them out and put in the extended studs in
i've done it on a civic and didn't have to do this. All i did for the civic was hit them out and put the new ones in
has anyone done the extended studs on a integra type r ????
did you have to do anything speical to get it out???

i don't have an ITR, but on my GSR the hub needs to come out for the front studs.. the rear ones are easy, you just hammer them out. i know there are some people that know how to take out the front studs w/o pulling the hub. i wish i was one of them

trust me, do it the right way. remove the spindles and bring them to a shop to have the hubs pressed in and out. i once installed a stud without pulling the spindle, but i was in a rush. i was about to go on a trip and i noticed i was missing a lugnut. ( i probably overtorqued it, i was a kid and didn't have proper tools then..) i pulled the caliper and rotor off, cut the heat shield with a cutoff wheel, (ok, i had some tools...) and bent the shield back. i took another wheelstud, went to the grinder and beveled the back of the stud just enough to have clearance to slide into the hole in the hub. i bent the heat shield back, reinstalled the rotor and caliper, then carefully tightened the lugnuts. at this time i borrowed a friends torquewrench, and have been doing so ever since.
