if they arent preloaded and u knew that before hand, whats the point of this post? its already well known that if the omni's arent preloaded, then its gonna suck *****. u cant really give an honest opinion about the ride if it isnt even installed right

they will make a difference , but i dont see hte difference being so significant that it changes the ride charactoristics that much . i preloaded my flex's and noticed a difference , but not night and day...

thats just assumptions tho. i'm not saying your opinion doesnt matter at this point but thats pretty much like saying "my homie just installed insert part name here and didnt follow the directions and it doesnt work for ****."

we installed Omnipower coilovers with 8k front springs and 10k rear. ride height is about 1 finger gap between tires all the way around on 195/60-14's. The ride is great, not bouncy at all, and it actually feels better than my Tein HA's (6k front, 8k rear)

The car has no rear sway bar and it almost zero body roll. Great suspension!

IMO and in the opinion of two of the BEST suspension tuners i know. This whole "pre-load" thing is the biggest hype. they took something VERY small and miniscual and made a HUGE deal out of it.

the omni power coil overs are good for street driving thats it.

non-adjustable suspension is useless for performance

i agree 100% about the preload , it makes a difference , but its not going to totally change a coilovers ride.

Quick question guys,Do you adjust the preload on the rear coilovers as well as the front?I just got a set and it seems like the nut at the top of the rear coilovers doesnt want to be moved at all.Im nearly certain it doesnt get moved to flush like the front but i'd like to hear from someone who did the install, and if it doesnt move because it is a locknut then how do you adjust the hieght without taking the coil off the arm?

The rears can be preloaded just like the front.

I have the ominipower 10k/8k "street" coils on an ek9. The ride is stiff but bearable. Overall I'm happy with them. Defintely better than my slip on coilovers I had before.

I preloaded the front and the back but for some reason my back is rather bouncy. On a seemingly flat piece of road my back will start bobbing up and down. Nothing extreme though. Overall I give a for omnio coilovers. Especially for the price.

That's weird because my rear doesn't bob up and down and I have the even softer 6k rear (when they first came out with the 'street' version.. it was 10k/6k). Oh wait.. just thought about it.. it's probably because I also have a 22mm Comptech rear sway bar.

On my rear coilovers, these are the sport 12kg/10kg the top nut on the rear looks like it is sealed, looks like a locknut and I have tryed to loosen it but it does not move,I am no weak guy I put an allen tool into the shock valve and turned opposite with a 19mm wrench and it did not budge one bit,but my allen tool felt like it wanted to break in my hand, maybe someone can shed some light on this doesnt seem like anyone had this problem. i mean of course if it comes to it i can load the springs with the perch and spanner wrench but well I dont wanna do that 8-( and also it makes it kinda impossible to change the ride hieght without taking the coilover off the arm if the top nut isnt loose.

Yeah the bolt was just caught on the threads or something , a little extra elbow and it came right off and didnt get stuck again. I admit to scrutinizing the hell out of them for 2 days straight, and I hold to my original accesment of them being as well put together as the sf-1, I really like the idea of preloading the springs seperate from ride height adjustments, when I have them on the car I will give a detailed account of my experience.
