nope...dont' gotta change them

you need to use LS to LS
DX to DX
EX to EX
vtec to vtec....

you can not interchange the dizzy from one engine to another

no, i know that i'll need LS dizzy to LS. i'm asking, will i need to get a 00 OBD2b LS dizzy. or will my engine harness plug right into the 96 LS dizzy with no mods?

remember....i'm putting a 96 LS into a 00 CX.

Sure you can, although I don't suggest doing so as the fitment isn't the greatest (2 of the 3 mounting bolts line up). It won't leak if you do it right, but I would only ever do something like that as a last resort. It does work, though, so if you're in a huge pinch you can make that work. The OBD does need to be the same, though.

You know that if you really do live in Orange Co. that if you get smog tested, you will fail. (Older motor in newer car). Just some advice. Other than that, can't help you with that one.

You don't need to do anything! The 96 LS already is OBD2 and the dist. will plug in fine. If you don't have a distributor then yes, just get an OBD2 version.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by mini-cRx &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">hey guys i am putting the 95 lsinto my 96 hatch i am gone get the obd 2 to 1 harness and use the obd1 ecu but what about the dist and harness thanks</TD></TR></TABLE>

You can use your stock engine harness with some mods needed to make it fit the LS: lengthen a few branches to reach, change IACV plug from 3-wire to 2-wire plug, move 1 pin in the ecu for the IACV, and change to OBD1 injector plugs (optional, keep your stock plugs and get OBD2 injectors from any Honda that's not a Y7)
Use an OBD2 dist if possible, you can probably trade with someone who wants an OBD1. The OBD1 ecu conversion doesn't require and specific mods under the hood.
