Default B16A2 Swap or not?

Can I get a complete b16a2 swap (99-00 Si) into my 98 EX coupe automatic for about 1200.00 including engine, tranny, labor, and shipping? What tranny would I need? If I couldn't do that swap, could I do a b18? LS engine? Thanks.

That'd be a pretty big double whammy. First you have to swap the engine and transmission, and then you'd have to convert your car from auto to manual.

Or...

You could spend tons less money, but the edelbrock turbo kit and drive around beating stock Si's all day long.

no, I want to keep it auto...What auto tranny should I buy, or would my stock tranny be able to hold all the power?

Maybe with a old B16a1, and that's a big MAYBE.

you'd probably have to look for a GSR auto tranny then... your D series auto won't work on a B series motor.

dude, 1200$ will NOT cut it.... i wouldnt even expect a dseries swap to be that cheap with installation. like others have said, installation prices will 0wn you. just save till next spring and swap it yourself. in the mean time you can save for some mods like a new header, intake, etc.

nope plan to pay about $16-1800 for the motor

NOw my car was once auto but i converted it.

If you put an auto b16 in your car its not going to pull like you think its going to
and youll be disapointed with all the money you spent unless you dont care and just want to have A dohc engine

You can find a B16a with Auto tranny. They're out there.... Check this out. A little more than your budget.
