ok i got a jdm b16a and a ys1 tranny with a aem short ram intake a dc sports header and a thermal r and d exhuast with no cat in a 92 teg rs and every time i race i etheir spin way to much or i dont do it enough ok i rev it up to 5k and i spin by the time i catch im in 4k out of vtecand i have to wait until 5k to get vtec back because im so slow with out it so they get me out the whole but if i rev to like 6k and drop clutch i spin so much i dont move its a loose looose situation so i was wondering what i should do about it maybe i should lower my vtec point or learn how to lanuch HELP plz fustred

My b18c in my crx. I launch at about 5k. i dont drop the clutch i kinda let if off fast but still slow, like i dont drop my foot of the bottom. Then as soon as it starts to grab (clutch) i mash the gas. It spins then hooks up for a sec, then i shift at 8k, spins for half of second. Then chirps in 3rd. This is with LSD.

This is with street tires, in cold weather. (just above freezing mark)

every car is different you just gotta get out and practice

 

after you dump the clutch it's all about throttle control. LSD helps a lot, tire compound and suspension plays a big part as well.

 

What tires are you running? I launch on Azenis at 4000 and as soon as things start to catch I mash it, it jumps up to about 5000 until everythings catches up. Street tires I'd launch at about 3000. THis is with a SOHC ZC non-VTEC. If your on shitty 100K tires nothings going to hook up...
