Hello All,

I am getting ready to drop a B16A engine into my 91 civic DX, but need to identify a broken part near the intake/ throttle body assem. Here is the link, can anyone tell me what the broken part in the pic is called? I know it is vsacumm operated.

It's called a dashpot, and I don't worry about them.

 

dashpot? Can this part be purchased seperately from the throttle body assem?

 

I don't know, probably. I have one on my motor that I don't have connected, and don't use, and don't care about. If you want to get one, check a dealer, or buy mine. *shameless plug alert!*

How much would a used dashpot go for these days?

 

err ummm do you want mine? i am about to remove it in a little...all it does is keep you rev from dropping too fast when you shift....just remove it is be done with it...check the newer Bs they dont have them...why....= useless
