like the topic says............

i am running a set of kyokugen now, and i must say that after the first couple of times of puttin the tires on and off the lugs are almost striped out......i have heard of many instances dealing with the kyokugen lugs being like that. i have a set of bronze Work Emotion's on the way and was debatin on what to get next. what do you think?

Please post what kind of lugs you have and the quality of the lugs, thanks in advance

I'm running Zenki extended lug nuts with no problems at all. Took them off plenty of times.

hi,
I'm running kyokugens right now myself,
only took them off once though, next time I take them off i'm going to put on some antiseize.

But anyways,
before the kyokugens I actually bought a set of duralmin(you can get them from subydude.com) lugnuts, I returned them cuz they were too much money for me(70with locknuts)>
But I can tell you, even though both are supposed to be forged, I could notice a distinct difference between the kyokugens and the duralmin. The duralmin felt lighter even though they were much larger(fatter, stuck out further, and didnt taper at the end), and the material they use feels all satiny almost like it's some sort of metalplastic, and they're black through and through, dont look to be painted.

However I like the kyokugens, they are physically smaller, which looks good on an EG hatch with 15's(such a small car with small wheels doesn't need giant lugnuts sticking out).

the price on kyokugens is great too.

I would like to see peoples experience with the kyokugens who DO use antiseize every time they take them off/on.

I'm running Zenkis on my hatch and Rays on my S2K. Both are real nice quality. I've heard horror stories with the Kyokugens.

try some duralmin's
basically any lightweight lugnut has the chance of stripping.
I've heard of zenki nuts stripping, i've heard of rays nuts stripping.
actually one guy complained that his wheels almost fell off on the racetrack with
his s2k with the RAYS nuts.

duralmin

The thing you have to think about is how many ppl use an impact gun and over torque them when they specifically they torque by hand? It's variable. But Without a doubt Rays are top notch my friend has them on his Sir and he doesn't really care about them and over torques with gun and they have yet to brake or strip at all just a lil wear on the paint of the lug itself.

muteki's seem to be holding up pretty well... the paint at the contact points of the lug and the socket faded real fast, but they're meant to hold the wheels on, not look good, right?

I have the Duralmin lug nuts from Suby Dude. I have had them for a while now(almost 2 years) and change my wheels and take them off alot.

I haven't encountered any problems with stripping. They have some scratches on them but they don't look bad.

Skunk2 I think they come in two colors? I have the bronze.
They use a normal 19mm which I don't like.

I also had a set of black kyokugens that is up for sale! Mint condition! PM me!
(I am not ashamed of the cheat plug)

I'm running some Kyos. I like them, but the fact that the key absolutley sucks is a bad thing. As soon as spring comes around I'll be ordering a new set of something else. If you tend to take your lugs off a bit, then I recommend you DO NOT get Kyos.

I'm not really shure what kind mine are. I paid like $2.50 each for em at a local tuner shop. They are chrome, and thats about all I know.
