Default For all you people who hit a curb hard enough to push back your wheel(s)

INVEST IN A TRACTION BAR/X-MEMBER WITH ADJUSTABLE RADIUS RODS

ive seen people replace almost ever piece of suspension and still have bad caster..some peoples are pretty extreme...i lost control and hit a curb pretty hard on my right side

it noticably pushed my passanger side wheel back, i got an alignment and it always drove alright after that but the wheel just bothered me alot.

Well i was in the market for a header, i wanted the toda compition manifold really bad but it def wouldnt clear the stock x-member...so i put 2 and 2 together and ordered myself a Full-Race Traction Bar direct from Full-Race

After i installed the whole crossmember today it took me a matter of seconds to adjust my wheel back to center, i only eye'd it so ima need to get a pro. alignment but i thought this would be too good to be true, my dream came true today!!!

FULL-RACE

http://full-race.com/store/pro...85217

its not cheap, but my car handles beautifully now.

those are some hard-core traction bars man. i got some like that but it has the orignal crossmember and the radius rods are upgraded and u can adjust them and there are no rubber bushings where the rods bolt to the x-member. they came off of a drag hatch. they are coo but not as sick as the full-race ones. hey i know wut u mean by hitting a curb, went to hit a corner in my crx and slid on some gravel and ran into a guard rail and a curb. it bent the rear crossmember and broke the spot welds on it where the LCA bolts to. it was horrible, i put on a new crossmember and nothing was right after that so i sold it and bought another crx. it was horrible. i feel ya though.

so far so good, turning feels a whole lot tigher than before, i love the feeling of the suspension now.

but the fact is im paranoid about my alignment so i just drove it around the block and put it to bed for the night prolly.

Ive also got this knocking sound i hear over bumps that has developed over the past couple days, i heard it a few times before i swapped the crossmembers so im sure that wasnt the cause but i need to figure out what it is tomorrow.

I have had this same problem...Check your cv joints and your brake pads...lol...Yes I said brake pads cause when I heard knocking sounds I thought it was my suspension and it wasn't so I checked my cj joints and that was not it...So then my friends told me to check my brakes and sure enough it was...lol...

But then again I could be wrong!!!!

well it sounds just like my cv joints, i used to have REALLY blown axles...but those would pop when i would down shift or pop the clutch or something. Ive got Raxles now, so they BETTER not be blown.

this popping sound is only happening when i go over bumps, its insync with the bounce of the car, im pretty sure its something to do with my shock tower.

hmm i really need to look into one of those...i have waisted soo much money on this..mine is working fine now. I was driving on snow..and turned and coasted into the median at 20 MPH....bent the axle, lower control arm, and radius rod. i took the entire suspension from another car, and put it on..then cut the xmember to fit the 4-1 header...how much was that bar..i seriously want one know!!

okay i checked out the price..i can get another perfect shell with a blown motor around here for that price..ouch
