Default ZC Tranny Info (Already Searched)

I'm trying to find a little info on the ZC.
I've heard a million different answers as far as which axles I need to swap a ZC tranny into a 91 Si, I figured I'd try here for a better answer.
Also, I'm trying to find out what clutch and flywheel match the ZC tranny? Haven't made the final decision on the ZC tranny. Right now I'm just trying to find out what I'm getting into as far as a tranny swap.

axles: 90-93 integra manual, non abs OR 88-91 rt4wd civic wagon axles
clutch/flywheel: 89-91 civic

you gotta ask yourself "why" you want the zc transmission?

equal lenght axles? close gearing? name dropping?

I personally like my zc/si hybrid tranny- 1-4 ZC / 5th&final SI with a ZC differential.

all the benefits of a short geared transmission for playing on the streets and the SI finall drive recently gave me 37MPG on a 700 mile round trip (with the AC blowing )

if the ZC transmission you get is 88, it will have the 21 spline input shaft, just like all 88's

True. But that transmission won't work with the 91 SI he's planning on mating it to.

I want to see how much it will cost to ship the engine and tranny from H Motors, should be cheaper with the 2 together.

Also is there a place I can go to findo out how to swap out the tranny gears and what parts I need to do it?

Is it possible to use the half shaft on the Si tranny?

I'd like to swap it just for the equal length axles !!! 180 LBS. of torque in a beat up old civic = SCARY !!! Almost hit my mom's mail box the other night ( and her house was on the left side of the road !!) !!!

Besides my torque steer, I kinda like my DX tranny... ( Si sitting out back waiting for when I do my clutch ).

Default Re: ZC Tranny Info (89dxhunchback)

I just bought a ZC from hmotorsonline with transmission. I just spoke to them and was told that since I bought the engine and tranny i get the starter, clutch, flywheel, and intermediate shaft all together, not a bad deal for $869 shipped.

My next question is with the ZC intermediate shaft do I use 2 right hand CRX Si axles or 90-93 integra axles? I've heard both fit and one of them had a fit problem.

Also, still cant find where I can get some info on the 5th gear swap?

Now I'm using the ZC flywheel so can I use a 89 integra clutch with it or which one?

Last question, say I'm cruising on the highway at 80, what's my tach gonna read?

if you're using that calculator on honda-perf.org, it's not right because the Si 5th has a higher RPM at 80 than the ZC does according to that thing or is it right?
