Runnin Lean??? Idle Problem
Sup folks. I checked my spark plugs and they're pretty white. I do a lot of highway driving cruizin usually at about 3.5k - 4k and from what i understand they tend to lean out on the highway to save gas. And if they're whitish, doesnt tha also mean that i might have a coolant leak from the headgasket? I have a idle problem right now, where the car will idle at 750 and randomly drop down to 3-400 and kinda bounce there. It also sometimes hesitates between 1800-3k and i have no idea why. Any ideas? Thanks!
check your iacv.
it opens up on decel(meaning when you're moving and you let your foot off the gas, which you do all the time, if only partially) and perhaps yours is opening up and sticking.
I could be wrong about it, not too sure what happens with honda iacv's when they go bad, but with other cars this very thing can cause exactly what you described.
