Default D15B VTEC swap = SMOG PASSED!

I did a D15B and went to got the car smogged and it passed. The D15B is completely stock. My setup: Engine stock. For intake I used the a section of the intake pipe that came with the engine and used another section from a leaf blower to connect the intake manifold to a stock D15B7 air filter. I also ran a bottle of "garantee to pass smog" bottle. I got it at pep boys, the only one they sell, and it was $4.99 on sale. I followed the instruction for the smog garantee thing and went to a smog only station and it passed. Here are the result.

HC(PPM) CO (%) NO (PPM)
Test RPM Max Meas Max Meas Max Meas
15mph 2386 92 78 .55 .18 716 683
25mph 2200 57 57 .54 .26 764 403

Do you mean Passed as in they thought it was a D15B7 or did you go to the ref? Will a D15B pass BAR?

Airports, Gas Stations, Grocery Stores, 24 Hr Bar/Grills...I have damn near seen it all here in Vegas.

Oh back on the subject, Congrats on your smog test! I couldn't imagine failing and having to pay that god awful fee again for a possible 2nd rejection.

cool man!
took me 3tries to get my cx to pass,
and that was before I put in the d15bvtec.

ended up hooking up a dx exhaust/cat to the cx exhaust/cat, so I had 2 cats running at the same time, hehe.

didnt try the garaunteed to pass though, it probly would have helped.

damn dude, that sucks man. I was thinking about doing that but I think that bottle of "garantee smog pass" thing really worked.

What else did you do other then using the guarantee to pass smog at Pep Boys? I have the sane problem. Also, do you think they sale that product in other Pep Boys?
