Default spun out on the expressway

well I was driving on the expressway, went to switch lanes, someone switched infront of me, I slammed on the brakes and I lost control. I just put on a set of yokohama AVS ES100's with 16" rota grids on. The thing that bothers me is that the minute I slammed on the brakes, those tires lost any and all grip. Anyway, heres some pics, I hope its repairable.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

You can tell from the pics that I rode parallel to the wall, Im glad I didnt slam into it front first. Do you guys think its fixable? Also the the drivers side front Rotor exploded, so I dont know what kinda damage there is on the braking system.

Sorry, but from the looks of it your insurance will most probabley consider the car wrecked. Good to know your alright.

No question, that car will be deemed a total loss by your insurance company.

What is it that you guys see that makes you assume its a total? Im just wondering becuase the body shop its at said it looks fixable and to me it doesnt look to bad. What is it that you guys see that makes you think total? No frame damage as far as I can tell.

Its going to be totaled. just think of this. new front and rear bumper, hood, all side panels, door, wheels, rims, looks like somethings broke on your suspension. Add that up as a insurance adjuster and its totaled.

how much do you think I would get from the insurance, if it is totaled?? I was doing about 65-70 on a dry road, and it was warmer out, maybe about 60-65 degrees out. I cant believe how little control I had over those shitty yoko AVS ES100's

that sucks; it does look like they're going to total it. glad you're ok.
btw, the avs100s are good tires. you just shouldn't have slammed on the brakes like that.

yea no airbags deployed, I was wearing my seatbelt, nothing happened to me, the bodyshop told me they dont think its a total. But im worried that even if they fix it, it will never be the same again. Also it was already a rebuilt title so im worried.

Ive heard the AVS ES100's are good, but ive slammed on my stock/bare tires and they would just chirp, not totally lose control.

Glad you're ok and you're still in one piece! It does look like a total loss. Hopefully you get back at least around $9,000 - $10,000.

Sorry man, i always cringe when I see damage like that. Be very, very grateful that you are alive and okay. The car will be totalled because it looks like you have suspension damage, front+rear bumpers are gone, quarter-panel damage, door, wheels, brake damage. Just keep on trucking and see what happens with the insurance company. Good luck.

damn, you hit every possible thing on your car. good to see your doing ok. Ins't it if the cost of repair is 3/4 or more of the blue book price, the insurance will just consider it total?

looks pretty bad, I have ES100s on Rota Grids, too and i think they're pretty good. How new were they? my tires had some sort of coating on them when they were new and they were pretty slippery until i put some miles on them.
