yeah.. 190 at the flywheel.. maybe. and you want 250? you'd need a blower or nice turbo set-up. i've seen tegras with the jackson racing supercharger do 220-250whp.. forced induction is the way to go if you wanna be fast. just do a search..

find someone who does real good head work...

port, polish, 3 or 5 angle valve job, and CC the head (make sure each valve flows equally)

heads are how you get power with N/A motors...

yes, matto, dyno your car and you will unpleasantly surprised that you aren't that close to 190. if you want 250 actual hp, turbo is probably the easiest way to do it.

are you going by stickers of what the company claims? such as... aem intake will give you 8hp and your exhaust will give you 12hp... thus already having 20hp added on to your 170hp gsr?

if you are going by those #'s... please stop modding your car and buy a bicycle

gsr -170 hp around dyno 140whp + ur basic h/i/e = 150 ish so basically ur lookin for 100 whp and that aint very easy... turbo cheaper and faster then all motor but just depends how deep ur pockets are

Bore your block out to 2.0 liters. Get bigger pistons and forged rods. Stage 3-4 cams...and valvetrain...muahaha. Then get someone who knows what they're doing to tune it. All motor is the way to go!

stock GSR is like 140 to the wheels or something I believe. and theres no way i/h/e gave you an aditional 50hp. Only pistons/rods/cams/valve train/port/valve job/IM/TB/ bolt ons etc. AND a Hondata Tune and you will be around 200 to the wheels. and that right there is about 5,000$ or more depending upon the brand you wish to go with.

why doesn't he get someone who knows what they're doing to buy the parts too?

ive alwas been told that my b18c1 has stock 170. then the intake and the header/exhaust added about 20 horse. which is where i got 190. i was just going by that. ive already been considering turbo, but dont want to spend more then 1500. does that sound right, or what.

Ok buddy let's get your **** straight.

Give the guy a break. It's true that Honda claims the USDM GSR makes 170 Horsepower.... at the crank/flywheel. Given the 15-17% drivetrain loss, the resulting WHEEL HORSE POWER OUTPUT ranges from 140-145WHP. Then again, there are some "freak" motors out there that make more than 150WHP in stock trim. Who knows if the chassis dyno was properly calibrated or what the environment conditions are.

Who gives a ****? PEAK WHP is just for bragging rights.

The lowest end kit, costs more than that. If you have 1500, get a nice body kit, paint job, spoiler, stereo system, and some stickers. That will get u about 240, so i dunno where ur gonna get that extra 10, im no expert.

first off how is a body kit, new paint job, stereo system and some stickers help increase your horsepower. There's no way. And secondly i already have all that. except the body kit. Paint jobs about 3 months old, got a Type R spoiler, for system i got kicker Solo's 12's.

turbo it...then call it a day...loose the system too
more weight = less power...unless you make enough power to back it up ...

i will bet your car wouldnt even put down 160whp on a dyno

In my opinion the easiest and cheapest way to make more power would be nitrous.
