Default intake manifolds

would purchasing a new intake manifold, really make that much difference on an integra with not very many mods. i only got cold air intake, and apexi n1 exhaust.

get the blox i.m. its a good investment for the money. it may add only 1 or 2 hp now, but down the line as you do more the results will show.

Unless you have a vtec engine or planning on putting in cams then it might not be worth it.

agreed. mild bolt-on setups will not benefit from an IM, it will actually rob power in some areas. do some more research before investing in one.

actualy a stock engine will see a small increase using a im like the blox. unless you can show evidence it doesnt. i've installed one of these on a 98 integra with i/h/e. it showed a 2 hp increase at around 6krpm. not to mention the throttle response was better.

the IM allows the engine to breathe better. when combined with a intake and bored throttle body, its a great improvement.

placebo effect. im pretty sure he will lose low and midrange if he does the im with only minimal bolt ons. and for 2 hp? you can't even feel that. might as well have saved a little more and bought cams instead, and gotten the mani later. maybe then you'd have actually felt an improvement when you bolt it on.

actualy the hp curve never dipped below the pre-im baseline. torque actualy was pretty smooth all the way to redline.

but for 200$ its a good investment.

and even if you put cams into a stock engine your not gonna get a whole lot of increase.
