ok putting k-20 in a 5th gen and have all of the bullshit figured out just wondering about the ecu.... does it have an immobilizer????? if it does can i just take to acura and have them remove it???? i have all of the vins and documentation.. any help would rule thanks

yes - you technically can take it to the dealer & have the ECU reflashed...in some cases the dealer will not even know :
1.) they can remove the immobilizer
2.) how to remove the immobilizer
3.) that they need the documentation for VIN on motor & ECU

NEXT TIME please make you topic more specific so when people search they can find it....IE "K20a2 ecu immobilizer removal" instead of "K-20a2"

BTW its all been covered before all you had to do was search

EDIT IMO - I would save up the $900 & just get K-pro....20 whp & 20 lb/ft torque gains are NOT uncommon & with K-pro you can just turn off the immobilizer function off

OK SO SORRY... BUT TRYED TO SEARCH AND GOT NOTHING BUT THANKS FOR THE LINK....THE OTHER THING IS IF YOU HAVE IT REFLASHED BY HONDATA DOES THAT GET RID OF THE IMMOBILIZER???
