f22 dohc vtec
umm, there is no f22 that is both dohc and vtec. there is the f22b which is dohc, and the b1 which is vtec. there are many other variants of the f22 out there. these are the two that seem to get the most attention and are also the 2 i considered for a swap in my car. the F22B is what I plan on going with. Around 160hp and torque is about the same as the f22a1 i am guessing you have now.

Honestly, what is the point of doing an engine swap for 10-20 hp?? Unless your current engine is on its last leg or you have big plans down the road (read: forced induction, serious all-motor) its really pointless. You can get 10-20hp with simple bolt-ons. Why do a swap? Do you have any idea what is involved in a swap. It takes serious time and energy, regardless of whether or not it bolts right in. For an Accord the only swap that makes sense is the H22. The obvious exception being another engine to build/boost, or your current one being dead. If you are doing a swap for power/potential power then go H22

You have a very good point, but an H22 swap is very expensive compared to an F22B. Sure, the B swap only gives you 25 hp over the f22A1, but it only costs $700 for the engine and another 100 if you want a newer tranny. For someone with 210k, on their engine, the swap makes a lot of sense. I wanna do some serious stuff to my engine down the line, and after 210k miles, I don't think the one I have could take it. Thats why I wanna swap in the f22b. If you had a newer accord, however, I would definitely recommend the H22. Afterall, if you can afford a 6th gen or newer, you should be able to spend 2500 on a new engine for it. As for me, I'm in college, don't have a job til summer, and am trying to buy a new engine mostly on my tax return money.....so the F22B it is.
210,xxx is nothing really. At least as far as our engines are concerned. For the same price of the swap you can easily pick up that hp with your old motor.(assuming there is no major issues with it.)

Dude, if you're gonna boost it anyway you don't need vtec. Vtec doesn't even come close to comparing to boost and once you have boost you will forget about vtec. Just do a compression/leakdown test on your motor and boost it. It'll be cheaper and more fun. 70K is nothing for a Honda engine.
